Frankly speaking, I’m not the type of student who always finish his/her projects and homework on time. I would rather watch videos on YouTube or check my social media feed (i.e. Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram) first before doing my schoolwork and I’ll tell myself “Nah, I’m going to start doing it after I watch this video" or Five more minutes please” then I end up falling asleep doing nothing. I will only realize the next morning that there’s a lot of school stuff to be done and I will eventually blame myself for being lazy. I’m tired of being lazy and I don’t to want to procrastinate anymore. I tried to change my habit but I still failed to do so. Then I’ve been through that what I am practicing is not effective at all, may be because I’m doing it the wrong way.
So, I have here some do’s and don’ts to avoid falling behind your schoolwork and to finish it even when you don’t feel like it. I hope you’ll find this article effective and helpful in some ways (char). #Nomoreprocrastination

DON'Ts:
Allow yourself to check your social networking accounts because you might end up procrastinating.
· Make excuses. Aren’t you sick of getting low scores in your quizzes or exams and passing poor outputs to your teacher? You want a better life in future, right? Then stop making excuses.
· Complain. If you’re complaining because your teacher gave you guys a LOT of schoolwork then you should not come in school in the first place. Peace lang tayo but it’s true naman ‘di ba? It would be best if you talk to your teacher to make proper arrangements like for example adjusting the deadlines and so.
· Pass your schoolwork for the sake of passing. You should put more effort and time in doing your projects or homework because your output reflects who you really are.
· Cram the night before.
DO's:
Buy a planner, journal notebook or unused notebook (e.g. Eusebio notebook xD) and start creating your own study plan and something you can use to write down your to-do list.
Find a place where you think you can finish your schoolwork fast and do things efficiently.
Your least favorite work first. You are more likely to increase your confidence and decrease your stress levels if you do your least favorite task first or consider breaking up your work into smaller chunks.
Discipline yourself. What we all need is SELF-CONTROL.
Make it fun. Just enjoy what you’re doing and you’ll be happy with the result later on.
Play music. Chu (2017) stated in her article that research shows that listening to music could boost the productivity level of a person and finish his or her work more quickly than those who didn’t. Develop a regular time to do your schoolwork and study.
Take responsibility for your success or failure. At the end of the day, it’s all about you. Whatever decision you make will either yield happiness or regret later in life.
